Our goal Is To change the way your Team looks at their commute
we believe that changing the way your workforce thinks about commuting is key for future business success
Public Transport is not up to the job.
The 2020 COVID-19 Pandemic has created a world that is almost entirely removed from what we knew. The idea of a packed tube carriage is not simply unpleasant, but for many is now an impossibility.
A richer workforce is a happier workforce
Through riding to work rather than paying for travel cards, petrol, or train tickets in London employees can save over £1600/year.
Reduce excuses, increase productivity.
You know what reduces lateness? Knowing how long a journey will take. You can’t plan for everything but when cycling or walking, your commute is in your hands, not the traffic, not broken signals, and not public transport strikes.
Increase fitness and resilience
We have seen that a key driver in the severity of illness has been fitness and weight. Through cycling you can burn 400-750 calories an hour, you won’t do that stuck in a sweaty Northern Line carriage.
Reduce Stress and improve Mental Health.
In a survey by CyclingUK 91% of cyclists said that cycling was fairly or very important to their mental health. In a time of increased stress in the world, having this outlet is essential to productivity.
Do good for those around you.
Changing the way you commute not only improves your working life, you are also doing good for those around you. There are huge environmental benefits and even economic benefits too. If cycling journeys increase by just 2% this will equate to a £42bn benefit to the economy by 2050.
About The Founder
George founded Commuting Innovators having spent the past decade working within the cycling industry and riding through London on a daily basis. He is a regular contributor to Road.cc and has had over 200 articles and reviews published on the site.
Having also worked as a Product Manager across a number of companies of varying size and maturity, he realised that whilst most offer some degree of help for those cycling to work, even the best prepared amongst them would not be fit for the coming challenges where a much larger proportion of their teams would need to use a bike to get to the office.
Whilst in these roles he has acted as an unofficial commuting consultant, helping hundreds of employees to get on their bikes. George is now able to bring the expertise he has from both his deep knowledge of the cycling industry and cycling commuting experience to help more companies overcome the challenges they will be facing.
